It is with great sadness that the family of the late Amos Llewellyn Payne announce his passing at Western Memorial Regional Hospital on Saturday, February 5th, 2011 at the age of 90 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his son Myles, granddaughters; Chantel (Jody) & Cavelle (Ted), a very special friend Linda Sheppard as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He is predeceased by his wife Beulah, parents William Isaac & Mary Jane, his son Joseph, daughter Joy, brothers; Stedman & Philip, sisters; Lillian & Elizabeth. Amos was involved with the Municipal service for 21 years, 38 years as Ranger and A.L. Payne CD with Canadian Rangers, Volunteer with Hiscock Manor Seniors Assoc., Central Development Assoc. Parsons Pond Seniors Club, Co-Owner of Parsons Pond Sea Foods, he was also involved in various volunteer and Government funded projects, too many to mention. Visitation will take place at Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Road on Sunday, February 6th, 2011 from 7-9 p.m. Visitation will also take place at St. Peters Anglican Church, Parsons Pond on Monday evening and all day Tuesday, February 8th from where funeral services will take place on Wednesday, February 9th, 2011 with Rev. Jean Brenton Hickman officiating. Interment to follow at church cemetery. As expressions of sympathy in lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Society.
