DOUCETTE, Joyce Marie Eugenie - 72, Springhaven, Yarmouth Co., passed away on Thursday, January 27, 2011 in Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born April 22, 1938 in Quinan, she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Emily (LeBlanc) Muise. Joyce was a homemaker, and she enjoyed quilting, playing cards and bingo, and she enjoyed animals. Surviving are her companion, Kenneth Muise, as well as her children, Arthur (Susan) Doucette, Hebron and Emily (David) Spence, Edmonton; a step-son, Jamie; grandchildren, Allen, Chad, Emily, Jessica, Matthew and Arabella. Also surviving are sisters, Lorraine Weagle, Bridgewater; Myrtle Deveau, Yarmouth; Esther Muise, Wakefield, Mass. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by brothers, A. Peter "Pete" Muise, Francis Muise and C. Emery Muise as well as Lorraine and George Edward, both in infancy. Visitation took place from 7-9 Sunday evening, with prayers at 8 p.m. at H. M. Huskilson's Funeral Home, 29 Albert Street, Yarmouth. The funeral mass was held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, January 31 from St. Agnes Catholic Church, Quinan, Father Wieslaw Papuga officiated. Interment followed in the parish cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, the Nova Scotia Lung Association or to the Asthma Society of Nova Scotia.
