Peacefully passed on at the Garden Home on July 7, 2009, Hilda MacNevin of Clyde River, age 82 years.
The “shoe lady” worked at LePage Shoe Store for many years. Hilda’s great laugh, big smile and generous nature will be forever missed by all who knew her.
She will be lovingly remembered by her family, Ian (Ferne), Shelby and Brody MacNevin, David and Alicia MacNevin, Maureen, Tanya and Tim MacNevin, Tara (Troy), Tanner and Taylyn Hood, Kathleen MacNevin, Mary (Dave) Baker, and especially Paul Dawson, her faithful friend of many years. Predeceased by her parents, Jack and Edna; her sister, Jessie; her brothers, Ivan and Lorne; her sister-in-law, Shirley; her nephew, Stanley; and her grandniece, Amy.
Although gone from our lives, Hilda will live on in our memory.
Resting at MacLean Funeral Home Swan Chapel. A graveside service will be held Thursday, July 9, 2009, at 1 p.m., in Burnside Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Clyde River. If so desired, memorials to Burnside Presbyterian Church or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
