November 12, 1919 - Passed Peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Sunday, February 6th, 2011, surrounded by her loving family Gertrude May Chipman, age 91 years, of Spaniards Bay. Predeceased by husband Ivan, daughter Diane, granddaughter Kimberly, son-in-law Winston, brothers: Ralph (Mary) Bill (Edna) & Eugene. She leaves to mourn daughter Shirley Smith (Alf), Dildo; grandson Paul (Margaret); great-granddaughter Jessica; grandson Jason (Holly); son Bill (Anne), Cambridge, Ont; son Wayne, (Phyllis), St. John's; grandsons: Christopher & Alexander, Gary, (Genevieve), Spaniards Bay; granddaughter Tammy (Cory); great-grandchildren: Riley & Jenna; grandson Gary (Cheryl); great-grandson Lucas; grandsons: Jerry & Jamie (Diane's children); sisters-in-law: Loretta Button, Doris French. Resting at Lynchs Funeral Home, Spaniards Bay, on Monday, February 7, 7-9, Tuesday, February 8, 10-12, 2-4, 7-9, Wednesday, February 9, 10-12, 2-4, 7-9, Thursday, February 10, 10-1:30. Funeral Service to take place on Thursday, February 10 at 2:00, at Holy Redeemer Church, Spaniards Bay. Interment to follow in Maul Tree Hill Cemetery, Spaniards Bay.
