TYCHOLIZ – Barry Peter
April 16, 1952 – July 6, 2009
Barry Peter Tycholiz, with his loving wife at his side, peacefully left to be with God on July 6, 2009. He was born on April 16, 1952, in Prince Albert, SK to Peter and Mary (nee Skokum). Barry attended school in Meath Park and graduated in Prince Albert. He farmed in Meath Park up until 1995, when he met Gaile. Barry and Gaile (nee Sandoff) were married Oct 17, 1998 at St George’s Ukrainian Catholic Church in Prince Albert. They moved to Saskatoon and finally to Spruce Grove, AB. Barry worked as a Service Manager for Parkland Farm Equipment in Stony Plain, AB. Barry was blessed with a number of talents, music being one of them; he played in a band for years. He was an avid collector of toy tractors and was a 4th degree knight. His cats Kira and Kiki (deceased) were very important to him, but most important to him was his wife to whom he was a loving husband. Barry showed his courage and love for his wife, who seldom left his side during his illness, by providing the knowledge and advice to continue on without him. Barry was predeceased by his mother Mary in February 2009; his father Peter in 1986; his sister Carol Anne at infancy; his grandparents William and Barbara Tycholiz and Paul & Sophie Skokum; as well as aunts, uncles and cousins. Barry will be lovingly remembered by his devoted wife Gaile; Gaile’s daughter Colleen and granddaughter Teanna; sister Rosalie (Hubert) Link; nephews and nieces Carey (Carla), Shawn, Regan (Heather) Painchaud; great nieces and nephews Lexi, Calyssa, Brayden, Taylor, Ashley & Remy; aunts and uncles Vera (Dave) Woodhouse, Ellen Prystai, Anne Tycholiz, Sophie Sass, Mae Rogozinski and Mike (Jean) Tycholiz; numerous cousins; Gaile’s family, Wade (Robbie) Sandoff, Dennis (Marina) Sandoff, Cynthia (Marion) Broussard, Darren Sandoff, Patty Gould and extended families as well as numerous special friends. Barry will long be remembered for his keen attention to detail, high standards, knowledge and love of life. Barry now rests in God’s arms and his eternal peace. Prayer Service will be held on at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, July 10, 2009 and Divine Liturgy will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 11, 2009. Both services will be held at St George’s Ukrainian, Catholic Church, 770 – 14th Street West, Prince Albert, SK with Celebrant Reverend Father Ivan Nahachewsky. Interment will be held at Prince Albert Memorial Gardens. In lieu of other tributes, memorial donations can be made to Charity of Donor’s Choice. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.grays.ca. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Gray's Funeral Chapel, Lorne Adams, Funeral Director.
