It is with great sadness to announce the passing of Ferne R. Bishop of Swan Creek, NB and (recently the Orchard View Special Care Home) occurred on Tuesday, February 8, 2011 at the Doctor Everett Chalmers Hospital. She was 81. Born in Chipman, NB, she was a daughter of the late Willard and Amy (Smith) Bishop. Ferne worked at DND, Base Gagetown, NB from where she retired and was a member of Pine Grove United Baptist Church. The last surviving member of her immediate family, she is survived by numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. Predeceased by brothers Ronald, Willard, and Donald; sisters Joyce Briggs and Eva Henderson.
Visitation will begin on Thursday, February 10, 2011 at Bishop's Funeral Home 540 Woodstock Road from 7 to 9 PM. A funeral service will be held Friday, February 11, 2011 from Bishop's Funeral Home Chapel at 2 PM. Interment in the Pine Grove Cemetery at a later date.
