It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Florence Howlett, 87, of West Bay Road, on Feb. 1, 2011 at Strait Richmond Hospital.
Born Oct. 28, 1923, in Glace Bay, she was the wife of the late Donald Howlett.
She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Marie (Mary) Campbell and her husband, Len. She is deeply missed and forever loved by her granddaughters and their families, Arlene and Joe Plante of Halifax, N.S. and Linda Campbell and Mark Stephens of Hillsburgh, Ont. Florence was also a wonderful great-grandmother to Alex and Leah Stephens of Hillsburgh, Ont. Florence is survived by her brothers, Creighton (Diane) French, Ernie French and her sister, Donna Tambosso.
Visitation will take place on Saturday, Feb. 12 from 2 to 4 p.m. at Green's Funeral Home, Port Hawkesbury. A private interment of ashes will take place in the summer at West Bay Road Cemetery.
