With great sadness, we the family of Frances Elizabeth MacIntyre, age 70 of Sydney, announce her passing on Tuesday, July 7, 2009 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Born in South Bar, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Hazel (Bryant) Campbell.
Bette was an enthusiastic community minded person who volunteered with many service groups. She was particularly active with the ladies auxiliary at the RCL Branch 12 Sydney. She was a phenomenal grandmother who loved spending time with family and friends in her favourite spot at Island View.
She is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, John; three children, Debbie (Mickey), Darrell (Esta), Darlene (Ray), all of Sydney; five precious grandchildren, Raphael, Derek, Meghan, Nicholas, Shaylin and a great-granddaughter, Ellie. Bette is also survived by a sister, Bev (Bill) Denton, Dartmouth; a brother, Robert of Ontario and by several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a brother, Fred in infancy and a brother, Billy.
Visitation for Bette MacIntyre will take place on Thursday, July 9, 2009 at T.W. Curry Parkview Chapel from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday at 10 a.m. at St. Theresa's Church with Rev. Jim Oliver officiating. Interment in St. Joachim Parish Cemetery, Boularderie.
Donations may be made to the Cancer Centre, C.B. Regional Hospital or a charity of choice.
