It is with great sadness that the family of Jean Frances Tucker announces her passing at the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow, N.S on January 31, 2011. Born on December 7, 1936, Jean made her home in Grand Manan, Magundy, Deer Island and finally settled in New Glasgow. Jean loved to socialize on Facebook and had a passion for cooking which she enjoyed doing for others. She had a caring heart, a great love for all animals, and will be greatly missed by family, friends and all who knew her. Jean is survived by sisters-in-law Judy Masson and Sharon Fraser both of Lake George; nieces Lori Hansen (Calvin), Lake George; Pamela Gilmar (Lyle), Westlock, AB; Katrina Landry (Alfred), Fredericton; Kelly Lynds (Mike), Fredericton; nephews Christopher Masson, Lake George; Derrick Crain (Sandra) Lake George; a chosen sister Charlene Oxton, Bangor Maine; her very special "boys", Trusten and Hayden Hansen as well as several other great nieces, nephews and many cousins. Jean also leaves behind her beloved pets, Corky, Mama, Bear and Itty bitty. Jean was predeceased by her husband Cecil (Roy) Tucker; mother Helen, stepfather Frank Masson; her brothers, Donald, John and a sister, Margaret Masson. Jean was the last surviving member of her family. For those who wish to make a donation in memory of Jean, the family has suggested the NB Heart & Stroke Foundation or the SPCA.
