Born August 12, 1924, as a proud Newfoundlander in St. Thomas, NL. Passed peacefully away as a proud Canadian surrounded by his loving family on February 8, 2011, at The S.A. Glenbrook Lodge, Hugh Lawlor, aged 86 years. Predeceased by his parents: John and Mary Mae; brothers: Cyril and Vic. Left to mourn his loving children: Denise, Ken (Donna), Beverly (Brian), Maxine (Greg), Hughie (Linda), Brenda (Dave), Tony (Cynthia), Carolyn (Jeff), Victor (Barbara); loving mother and ex-wife Anne Reid; 18 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; as well as a large circle of nephews, nieces and other relatives and friends. Resting at Carnell’s Visitation and Reception Centre, 1045 Topsail Road, Mt. Pearl. Visitation on Thursday and Friday from 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. Funeral service to be held from Holy Family Parish, Paradise, on Saturday at 10 a.m. with interment to follow at the St. Thomas R.C.
