Dorothy "Dot" Vickers
We, the family of the late Dorothy "Dot" Vickers, wish to express our sincere appreciation and heartfelt thanks to our family, friends, neighbours and co-workers for their kind gestures of sympathy at this sad time. To those who sent sympathy cards, mass cards, memorials, charitable donations, flowers, food, visited our home, attended Mom's wake and funeral, we sincerely thank you. Thank you to everyone who helped to make Mom's funeral mass a celebration of her life. Fathers Thomas John and Agit Kerketta, Immaculate Conception Parish for presiding over the funeral mass; the readers, Adam Johnston and Geraldine Walker; the gift bearers, nieces, Patsy Lee and Madonna Gillis; the altar servers, Eucharistic ministers and the funeral choir for the beautiful service. A sincere thank you to the pallbearers, grandsons, Craig and Adam Johnston, Matthew and Tyler Smith and special friends, Eddie Steele and Billy O'Toole. A special thank you to the Memorial Mavericks basketball team for forming an Honor Guard at the funeral. Thank you as well to the Funeral Reception Committee for the delicious lunch following the service. To Manny Jobes and the staff of J.M. Jobes Funeral Home, thank you for your guidance and professionalism at this difficult time. A special thank you to Dr. John Kirkpatrick and his staff for the care and compassion when treating Mom over the years. Thank you as well to the staff of the 5th floor Northside General Hospital for the excellent care Mom received. To all those who helped in any way, we are forever grateful.
