Dupont, Marjorie Wright Dupont, age 93, of Swift Current passed away January 31, 2011 at the Swift Current Care Centre. The memorial service was held at 3:00 p.m., January 5, 2011 from the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness with Bill Burgess officiating. Burial will take place at Rush Lake Cemetery at a later date. Marjorie is survived by her children; Elizabeth (Sherman) Long, Graem (Joan) Dupont and Gordon (Joy) Dupont; six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Laurence and one great grandchild, both in 1995. Marjorie was born at Maple Creek, the only child of George and Mary Abbott. She attended school in Maple Creek and then Normal School in Moose Jaw. Following this she taught at various country schools and in Rush Lake area. She married Laurence Dupont in 1941 in Swift Current. She attended Art School at Emma Lake, Sk and it became her life's hobby, doing drawings, cards and general art work well into her nineties.
