Passed away suddenly at home on Monday, February 14, 2011, Philip James Coombs, age 64 years. Predeceased by his father and mother George and Violet Coombs and also predeceased by Laura Murray. Leaving to mourn his loving wife Joyce Peddle (nee Osmond); two sons: Philip "Skip" (Triphenia) and Scott (Latina); step-children: Gordon (Doreen), Gary (Olive), Gail (Jerry), Greg (Ellen) and Glenn (Debbie); 17 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters: Frances George (Glenn), Marion Dakus (Lorne), Violet Smith (Carl), Marie Olson (David), Dan (Carol), William, George (Suzanne) and Bert (Josie); best friends Bob and Dolda Redmond; also a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and numerous friends. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue from 7-9 pm Tuesday and then from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm on Wednesday. Funeral service to be held from Barrett’s Chapel on Thursday, February 17, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. Interment to follow at The Salvation Army Cemetery, Blackmarsh Road.
