It is with great sadness that the family of the Late Angela Benes announce her passing on Monday, February 14, 2011 at Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital, Stephenville, NL at the age of 90 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her son Arthur (Doreen) Swyers, Stephenville; eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Charles Benes; parents John and Esther Garnier; son Robert Swyers; brother Anthony Garnier; half sisters: Elizabeth, Ethel, Lizzie, Antoina; half brothers: Albert and Lewis. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home in Stephenville Crossing on Tuesday from 7 – 9 p.m. The funeral service will take place from St. Stephen’s Roman Catholic Church, Stephenville on Wednesday, February 16, 2011 at 1:30 p.m. with Father Maurice O’Quinn officiating. Interment will follow the service in the Roman Catholic Section of Hillside Interfaith Cemetery, Stephenville. As expressions of sympathy in lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Stephenville Crossing.
