Aurore Doiron, 88, wife of Napoléon Doiron Manoir Pascal Poirier and formerly of Winter St., Shediac passed away on Tuesday, February 15, 2011 at the Dr. Georges L. Dumont University Hospital Centre, Moncton following a brief illness. Born in Barachois, November 18, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Adelard and Léonie (Léger) Gallant. Aurore will be sadly missed by her husband of 65 years, Napoléon, her son Terry and his wife Alfreda of Bas Cap Pelé, three grandchildren: Sylvette, Carole and Luc; five great grandchildren: Sébastien, Samuel, Patrick, Ryan and Céline, one sister-in-law Justine Gallant of Shediac, and by many nieces and nephews. She is the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is predeceased by seven sisters: Sarah, Théotiste, Edna, Juliette, Maria, Hermance and her twin Lorraine and by three brothers: Arias, Ovila and Arthur Gallant.
Visitation at Frenette Funeral Home Ltd., 396 Main St., Shediac (532-3297) on Thursday, February 17, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday, from 9:30 a.m. until time of departure 10:20 a.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated at Saint Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Shediac on Friday, February 18, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be in the parish cemetery in the spring.
