Frederick Julian Van Snick
Born on May 10th, 1947, in Springhill N.S., passed away on Thursday, February 10th, 2011 in Kamloops B.C with his family by his side.
Fred moved to British Columbia in the early 1970’s and made his home there for the past 40 years. He was the son of Constance Lowe (Ripley) of Springhill, N.S. and Fred Van Snick of Amherst, N.S.
He is survived by his partner Valerie, 2 daughters Rose and Tanya and their husbands, 3 grandsons, 2 grandaughters, 2 step-sons, Danny, Kelly and 2 step-grandchildren; brothers John (Geri) Van Snick, Campbell River B.C.; Thompson (Dawn) Lowe, Cache Creek B.C.; sisters Ruth (Bruce) Whigton Belluve B.C.; Katherine (Percy)Pye Amherst, N.S.; Bev (Bill) Hannah, Springhill N.S. Several Aunts, Uncles, Nieces and Nephews.
He was predeceased by Step-father Fred Lowe, Maternal grandparents Ben & Catherine Ripley, Southampton, N.S. Paternal grandparents, Peter & Katie Van Snick, Southampton,N.S.
Creamation has taken place, burial will take place at a later date in Kamloops B.C.
