1954 - 2011 - Grand-Barachois - Armand LeBlanc, 56, of Grand-Barachois passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, February 15th, 2011 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Grand- Barachois on February 17, 1954, he was the son of the late Alban and Yvonne (Boudreau) LeBlanc. He was a lifetime fisherman. Armand will sadly be missed by his daughter, Martine Surette of Grand-Barachois; his two sisters, Lima Vautour (Freddy) of Saint-John, Jacinthe LeBlanc (Lisa) of Moncton; his two brothers, Lucien (Sharon) of Saint-John, André (Wendy) of Grand-Barachois; two nephews, Denny and Brian; two nieces, Symone and Amber; six great nephews and nieces, Alex, Sandrina, Nicholas, Marlee, Riley and Tyler.
Visitations will be held at Passage in Shediac Bride on Friday, February 18th from 7 to 9 pm and on Saturday, February 19th from 9 to 10 am. The funeral mass will be celebrated at the St-Henri-du-Barachois RC Church in Grand-Barachois on Saturday, February 19th at 10:30 am, followed by a reception at the Club d’Âge d’Or in Grand-Barachois. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
