At the Halifax Infirmary, Halifax, NS on Monday, Feb. 14, 2011 of Carl MacKay of First Street, Kensington aged 73 years. Born in Summerside on Feb. 7, 1938 son of Stella J. (Heffell) MacKay and the late Edwin J. MacKay. Husband of Karen (Poynter) MacKay. Father of Margaret MacKay and Robert MacKay both of Sechelt, BC. Brother of Gayle (Peter) Kovacs, Toronto, ON; Allan (Russet) MacKay, Gaborilo Island, BC and Bill (Doris) MacKay, Cape Egmont. Uncle of Blair Kovacs, Barrie, ON and Shelly (Michael) Solorenko, Sherwood Park, AB. Nephew of Marjorie Somers and Jean (Roy) Ramsay all of Travellers Rest. Resting at the Davison Funeral Home Kensington where a memorial service will be held in the Davison Funeral Home Chapel Friday at 10:30 a.m. No visitation by personal request.
