Leo died peacefully in his sleep at the Moose Jaw Union Hospital. He was 77 years old. Leo is survived by his son Glenn Laughlin of Moose Jaw, SK, brother Lloyd Laughlin (Kay) of Sherwood Park, AB, sister Doreen Runcie (Tom) of Swift Current, SK, and sister Linda Jay (Ed) of Comox, BC, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Leo was born to Peter and Valma Laughlin on March 7, 1933 at Shamrock, SK. The family later moved to Moose Jaw, where Leo has called home ever since. Leo was hired on at CPR as a brakeman in 1952 and retired in 1989 as a locomotive engineer. Leo met Doreen in Medicine Hat and they were married on August 27, 1959. Leo and Doreen liked to travel. They went on an Alaskan cruise, a trip to Hawaii, a package trip to the Maritimes, and many trips to Las Vegas. Leo liked to keep up on politics and news events, and the activities going on in Moose Jaw. He liked to golf, and go to the Legion and socialize with friends. In keeping with Leo’s wishes, there will be no funeral service. If you would like to pay your respect to Leo and his memory, have a scotch and water. Arrangements are entrusted to Parkview Funeral Chapel.
