It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our dear Charlotte at the Northside General Hospital on Thursday, Feb. 17, 2011, surrounded by her loving family and friends, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Sydney on May 28, 1969, she was the daughter of Lena Cameron and Gilbert Cann. She was a member of Trinity Anglican Church, Sydney Mines.
Charlotte was known for her angelic voice. She enjoyed Karaoke and old fashioned house parties, where she was known to entertain.
Charlotte leaves behind her lifetime partner, Michael Spooney Jr.; her daughter, Angela; sons, Cody and Blake; stepsons, Shane (Sandy) and Korey (Ceildh); her beautiful granddaughters, Bella and Layla, who were her angels and many family and friends.
Charlotte was predeceased by her stepson, Ryan Spooney.
Visitation for Charlotte will be held in the J. M. Jobes Funeral Home, 635 Main St., Sydney Mines, on Sunday, Feb. 20, 2011, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A celebration of her life will take place on Monday at 2 p.m. in Trinity Anglican Church, Queen Street, Sydney Mines, with Rev. Peter Rafuse officiating.
