Mrs. Denise Fisher, age 54, passed away peacefully in her home near Prince Albert on July 8, 2009. She is survived by her husband, Harold, their two daughters, Andrea (Roger) of Dundurn and Shelly of Saskatoon, her sisters Charlene King of Lloydminster, Alberta, Sharon Smith of Nanton, Alberta and her brother Michael Moser of Spruce Grove, Alberta. She is pre-deceased by her parents, Eleanor and Peter Moser. Denise grew up in Lloydminster, Saskatchewan where she graduated from high school in 1972. She attended the University of Saskatchewan, College of Education where she earned her teaching degree. During a brief term of teaching in Saskatoon, she met her husband, Harold, and together they moved to Prince Albert. Denise taught elementary school in Prince Albert for 29 years and retired in 2006 from John Diefenbaker School. Denise enjoyed creating a warm and loving home for her family and friends. Her home was always a centre of entertainment for neighbourhood gatherings and special occasions. She had a wonderful sense of humour and an infectious laugh. Denise enjoyed a variety of hobbies and activities including gardening, riding horseback, painting ceramics, cooking and designing kitchen décor. She will be remembered for her compassion toward people and animals, her tremendous hospitality and her generosity. Denise was truly a special individual and will be greatly missed. Funeral Services for Denise Fisher will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday July 14th at River Park Memorial Chapel, 301 River St. West, Prince Albert. The family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks to P.A Home Care Palliative Care Unit for their help and support. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
