MERRETT, Anita Arlene (Hayes)- 87, Port Williams, passed away in Evergreen Home For Special Care, Kentville. Born in Sussex, New Brunswick she was the daughter of the late William and Ruth (Perry) Hayes. She was a homemaker for most of her life. She was a member of The Loyal Workers, Port Williams. Anita is survived by her daughter Sheila (Burnie) Bezanson, Kentville; son Ralph, Port Williams; grandchildren Stephen Howard, Krista Morse, Kevin Howard, Tanya Chesnutt, Kimberley Rhynold and Angela Eisnor; ten great grandchildren, niece Rose (Doug) Davis, Riverview, NB. Besides her parents, Anita was predeceased by her husband Frederick and her brother Lloyd. Visitation was Monday February 14, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in Serenity Lindsay Funeral Home, Wolfville. Funeral service was Tuesday February 15, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. in Port Williams United Baptist Church. Rev. David Ogilvie officiating. Burial will be in Starrs Point Cemetery at a later date.
