NEWHOOK, Charles Henry (Harry) (November 18, 1926 – February 18, 2011) — Passed peacefully away into the loving arms of his Saviour, after a long and courageous battle with cancer, Harry Newhook, of Dildo, aged 84 years. Harry has finally gone to join his loving wife of 60 years, Hazel (2008). He is predeceased by his parents, Albert Newhook (1948) and Mylie Newhook (1989). Awaiting him in heaven, along with Hazel and his parents, are three sisters and two brothers. He leaves to mourn with many wonderful memories his five children: Lulu (Herbert) Temple, Blaketown; Lynda (Joe) Clymans, London, Ontario; Albert (Judy), New Harbour; Bill (Madonna) and Ed (Roxanne) both of Dildo; 13 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. He is also lovingly remembered by his brother Albert (Minnie) Warren; sister-in-law Ina Newhook and brother-in-law, Art (Eliza) Cranford. Harry will be greatly missed by many nephews, nieces and friends. Resting at Warren’s Funeral Home, Dildo, with visitation on Saturday, February 20, 6 p.m. until time of funeral. The funeral service will be held at a date and time to be announced, from All Saints’ Anglican Church, Dildo with Rev. Gordon White officiating, assisted by Captains Tony and Beverly Brushett of the Salvation Army.
