SNELGROVE, Rose Lee (nee Richards)– Passed peacefully and quickly away at the Health Sciences Centre on February 17, 2011 at 78 years of age surrounded by her loving family. Much beloved mother of daughter Teri Snelgrove (Brian Nicol) and son Dr. Paul Snelgrove (Dr. Michele DuRand); cherished aunt to Grace (Bill) Holden and Nancy Lee (Don) Newell, and special great-aunt to Blair Winsor, Mark (Kim) Winsor, James (Liliana) Holden, Allison Simms, and Gillian Simms (Stephen Roberts). Rose Lee leaves behind her brother Robert (Eleanor) Richards, and was predeceased by her sister Grace Hillier, her parents Harry and Cedella Richards, and her former husband Vernon. She remained close with the Snelgrove family: Doris (Ernie) Melbourne, June (Walter) Snow, Maisie (Brooks) Adey, Charles (Marilyn), Georgiana (Carson) Lambert, Phyllis (Dominic) Johnson, Marie, Roland (Dr. Christine), Bill (Vivian), Rose Lee (Dr. Joe) Boudreau, and a large circle of nieces and nephews. Rose Lee was loved by many friends, including her bridge clubs, the New York Girls, and friends and extended family in British Columbia, where she lived for 10 years. The family will receive visitors at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, February 21st at 2 p.m. from Barrett’s Chapel.
