1918-2011 - Rita Richard, 92 of Villa du Repos Moncton, NB and formerly of Cocagne passed away on Sunday February 20, 2011 at the Dr Georges L Dumont Hospital. She was married to the late Elie Zoel Richard. Born in Moncton on September 28, 1918 she was the daughter of the late Emmanuel and the late Marie Leblanc.
She will be sadly missed by her son Fernand of Shediac River, her sister Winnifred Philipps of Saint-John, NB, her two brothers, Ferdinand and Sam of Moncton, her seven grandchildren and her six great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews. Rita was predeceased by one daughter Sylvia, one son Gerard, seven children in infancy, three sisters, Lisa, Bernadette and Sadie and four brothers, Hector, Alban, Mélème and Fred.
Visitations will be held at the Saint-Pierre Roman Catholic Church Slumber Room, Cocagne on Monday, February 21, 2011 from 2 to 4 and from 7 to 9pm and on Tuesday, February 22, 2011 from 9:30 to 10:45am. Funeral Mass will be held at the Cocagne Church on Tuesday, February 22, 2011 at 11:00am with interment in the parish cemetery in the spring. In Rita's memory donations can be made to the family.
