It is with great sadness that we have to announce the sudden passing of James Roderick ‘Roddie’ LeJeune, 84, of West Arichat, that occurred at his home in West Arichat on Feb. 17, 2011.
Born in West Arichat, he was the son of the late Wilfred and Margaret (Pelham) LeJeune.
He was a member of the New Horizons Senior’s Club in Arichat.
He is survived by his daughter, Cathie Dorey, (Elias), West Arichat; sons, Ronald (Marilyn), Placentia, N.L., John (Edna), West Arichat; grandchildren, Chuck (Denise), West Arichat, Holly (Steve), Halifax, Sharon (Brian), Sydney Mines, Nadine Dorey, Halifax, Suzanne (Robin), Halifax, Chloe, N.L., Stephanie, West Arichat; great-grandchildren, Kelly, Will, Kirkland, Kailey, Alex, Rylee and Eric; also surviving is his companion of 16 years, Irene Richard.
He was predeceased by his first wife, Mildred Landry, sister, Rita Euler and brother, Bernard.
Visitation will be held today from 2-9 p.m. in C.H. Boudreau Funeral Home, Arichat. Mass of Christian Farewell will be held Tuesday morning at 11 a.m. in the Immaculate Conception Church, West Arichat, with Rev Duaine Devereaux officiating. Burial in the Immaculate Conception Parish Cemetery.
