SANDRA WHITTY
We, the family of the late Sandra Whitty, who passed away on January 27, 2011, at the An Cala Palliative Care Unit, in the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, would like to express our heartfelt thanks to our family, friends, co-workers, and neighbours for their kind expressions of sympathy, mass cards, flowers, telephone calls, charitable donations, and food provided during our time of sorrow. We would like to thank Dr. Chow, Dr. Debbie Gowan, Dr. Ritter, Dr. Paul MacDonald, Dr. Maharaj, and Dr. Sharon MacLeod, all the nurses in ICU, IMCU, 3A and the An Cala Unit for their kind and compassionate care. We also offer a special “thank you” to Kim Edmunds, RN for all her love and support during this difficult time. We offer our sincere appreciation to Fr. Charles Donovan, Fr. Frank Abbass, and Fr. Paul MacGillivary for their kind support, words of comfort, and heartfelt delivery of the funeral mass at St. Pius XI. Thank you to Collette Morrison, the choir members, and CWL of St. Michael’s Church Baddeck for their delivery of beautiful music, refreshments, lunch, and support during this trying time. We also wish to thank Ken Verner for this beautiful violin selection. A heartfelt thank you to the pallbearers, Doran Donovan, Leonard Whitty, Ben MacDermid, Caleb MacDermid, Merrill MacInnis and Chris MacInnis, reader, Basil Favaro, and gift bearers, Joyce Smith and Murdell MacKenzie. Words alone cannot express the thoughtfulness of family and friends. Sandra would have been honoured by your show of love and support.
