Leo Joseph Harold Lignos, loving husband of Jeanette (Walker) Lignos passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, February 20, 2011. Born 1952 in Saint John he was the son of the late Elefterious and Marie (Nairn) Lignos. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his brother George Lignos and sister Matrona (Toni) Lignos. Leo loved the outdoors, will be remembered for his sense of humor and will be sadly missed by his family and friends. He was most content to sit home with his best friend and companion his dog Eddy and a bottle of Alpine. Besides his loving wife Jeannette of 38 years, he is survived by his brothers Mike Lignos (Joan), Nick Lignos (Carol) and Kelty Brown (Tara); sister Renna Morris (Billy); nieces and nephews Tina Thibodeau, Christina Gray, Athena Brittian, Nicole Lignos, Michelle Stevens, Tricia Lignos, Leigha Brown, Kayla Snodgrass, Terry Gray, Leo Lignos, Nick Lignos, Anthony Lignos and George Lignos; several great nieces and nephews and many friends.
Following cremation, visitations will be held from Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424) on Wednesday, February 23, 2011 from 7 to 9 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held from Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, February 24, 2011 at 2 p.m. The family would appreciate donations made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the charity of the donor’s choice. www.fundyfuneralhome.com
