Grace L. Christie of Christie Ridge, York County, NB passed away February 21, 2011 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. Grace was born in McAdam, NB in 1948, a daughter of the late Evelyn (Smith) and step-father Archie Arbeau. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Grace is survived by her children, Jamie Christie (Leanne), Harvey, NB, Roy Christie (Krista), McAdam, NB and Wendy Christie (John Gardner), Harvey, NB; six grandchildren, Brandon, Dylan, Heather, Bradley, Bryanne and Daniel; her sisters, Edith Gallant (Edgar), Ontario, Ruth Moore (Dwaine) and Ruby Arbeau, both of Fredericton, NB; her brothers, John Arbeau (Linda), Chris Arbeau, both of Doaktown, NB, and Eric Arbeau, St. Stephen, NB; a brother-in-law, Edward Christie (Nancy), Harvey, NB and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Stewart J. Christie on November 20, 2009,an infant brother, Basil and a sister-in-law, Sally (Christie) Bourgoin.
Visiting hours will be held at Swan Funeral Home, 1826 Highway 3, Harvey Station, NB on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held from the funeral home chapel on Wednesday, February 23, 2011 at 2 p.m. with Rev. George Clark and Rev. Roger Gardner officiating. Interment will be later at the Harvey Settlement Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Paul Gallant, Steven Gallant, Todd Moore, Steve Gesner, Wendell (Bucky) Blair and Wayne Cleghorn.
