The death occurred peacefully at the Wedgewood Manor, Summerside on Friday, Feb. 18, 2011 of John A. Burrows formerly of Perrin’s Clinton View Lodge, Clinton and Wilmot Valley, aged 97 years. Born in Wilmot Valley on April 6, 1913 son of the late John A. and Elizabeth “Bessie” (Cairns) Burrows. Husband of the late Lucy A. (Simmons) Burrows. Dear father of Willard (Marion) Burrows, Wilmot Valley and Edwin (Marie) Burrows, Toronto. Cherished grandfather of Randy (Trisha), Burrows, Charlottetown; Nancy (Todd) Gilbert, Hampton; Kathy Burrows, Calgary; Lisa (Phil) Kestin; David (Evelyn) Burrows and Dean Burrows all of Toronto. Loving great grandfather of Trent, Reid and Paige Kestin, Emily and Victoria Burrows all of Toronto, Campbell and Brecken Burrows of Charlottetown. Brother-in-law of Ella Simmons and Florence Simmons both of Summerside. Predeceased by son Walter in infancy, brother Frank Burrows, sisters Mary (Harry) Moase, Carrie (George) Brown, Ruby Burrows and Ella (Lorne) Bowness. Resting at the Davison Funeral Home Kensington for visitation on Tuesday from 4-7 p.m. Funeral Wednesday in the Davison Funeral Home Chapel at 10:30 a.m. Interment later in the North Bedeque Cemetery. If so desired contributions may be made to the Building Fund of Kensington Presbyterian Church or the North Bedeque Cemetery Fund.
