At his home on Friday, Feb. 19, 2011 of Peter Francis (Frank) Broderick, Charlottetown, formerly of Toronto and Tignish, age 73. Loving father of Kathy (Frank Smith) Edmonton; Gary (Helen), Brampton; Wayne (Theresa), Mississauga; Julie, Toronto. Brother of Charles, Cromwell, CT; Sr. Ann C.N.D., Halifax; Bernard (Barb), Toronto; Leo (Vangie), Charlottetown; Patricia MacArthur (Brien), Charlottetown; John (Edie) Charlottetown; Michael (Cheryl), Charlottetown; Ronald (Ginette), Cornwall; Irma Mokler (Bobby), Fredericton, N.B.; Pius, Tignish; Althea, Vancouver; and Peter, Calgary. Brother-in-law of Jean Broderick, Lower Sackville, NS. Lovingly remembered by his eight grandchildren – Mindy, Levi, Michael, Kenneth, Chantel, Adam, Anthony, and Joshua; seven great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Everett and Kathleen (Gavin) Broderick, his brothers Leonard, Patrick and Timothy, and sisters-in-law Dorothy Broderick and Helen Broderick. Resting at Hennessy Funeral Home for visiting hours on Wednesday 7-9 p.m. The funeral will be held on Thursday, Feb. 24 with funeral mass at St. Simon and St. Jude Church, Tignish at 11 a.m. Interment later in the church cemetery. Frank’s family will receive relatives and friends following the funeral service at a reception in the Tignish Parish Center. Memorial donations may be made to Father Roy Shea Missions (Brazil).
