It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister, Lieselotte (Lottie) Schroder on February 21, 2011 in Attendorn, Germany at the age of 83.

She was predeceased by her first husband, Edgar Wienhold in 1983.

She is survived by her husband Hubert Schroder and his family in Germany. In Canada she leaves her daughters Marion Wienhold, Charlotte (Jerome) Wenninger, Bernita (John) Leahy, her grandchildren, Jodie, Jenny, Cheri, Kristen, Dia, Stephen, Sheldon, Vhairi and her great grandchildren, Tayler, Jared, Zack, Owen and Jayna and her sisters Doris (Karl) Sauerbier, Ursula (Albrecht) Willmann and families.

Lottie was born in Letmathe, Germany on February 15, 1928. She met Edgar Wienhold whom she married and they moved to Canada in 1954. With Edgar she moved to various locations in western Canada and spent three years in Pakistan before settling down in Kamloops. Lottie was devoted to her family, always putting their needs above her own. She loved spending time outdoors and was always willing to go on any adventure if given the opportunity. She was very involved in the Catholic Church, serving the shut-ins and elderly in the community. Eight years after Edgar's death, Lottie married Hubert and spent the last 19 years with him and his family in Germany. She managed to visit Canada to spend time with her daughters and sisters at least once a year until 2003 when she was unable to travel due to failing health. She was deeply loved by both her family in Canada and her family in Germany. Lottie will be missed by everyone who knew her.

The Funeral Mass will be held in Attendorn, Germany on February 24th, 2011. A Memorial will be held at a later date in Kamloops.
