Harvie, Harry Robert Jr. — age 73, formerly of Union Corner, Hants County, Nova Scotia passed away on Friday, Feb. 11, 2011, at Dykeland Lodge, Windsor. Born on May 29, 1937, in Union Corner, he was the son of the late Harry Robert and Lavinia (Benedict) Harvie. Harry was formerly employed with and retired from the Department of Highways. He had previously worked with the Department of Lands & Forest. He is survived by his sister, Irene (William) Moors, McKay Section; brothers, Donald (Anne) Harvie, Union Corner; Dale (Carol) Harvie, Scotch Village; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sister Jean Crowell. Visitation was 7-9 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 13, in Lindsay`s Windsor Funeral Home, 194 King Street, Windsor. The funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2011, in Lindsay’s Windsor Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Debra Mosher officiated, followed by a reception in the Lindsay Family Reception Centre, 184 King Street. Interment was in the Riverview Haven Cemetery, Union Corner. Family flowers only.
