The death occurred at Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Monday, Feb. 21, 2011, of Larry Carlson Fillmore of Cascumpec, aged 74 years. Loving husband of Ida (nee Strongman). Born in Sackville, N.B., on July 23, 1936. Son of the late Carlson and Frances (Tower) Fillmore of Sackville, N.B. Dear father of Kimberly Fillmore, Salisbury, N.B.; Terri (Bev Lunn) Fillmore, Beaverdam, N.B.; Kirby (Paulette), Sussex Corner, N.B.; Cindy (Paul) Deveau, Dieppe, N.B.; Michelle Noye, (Glenn Ford), Port Hill; Ben (JoAnn) Hardy, Ottawa. Loving grandfather of grandchildren: Jesse and Katie MacLeod, Melissa, Megan and Adam Fillmore, Tim (Stefanie) Matthews, Stephanie, Spencer and Brandi Noye, Tasia Hardy, Madelyne Campbell, Shannon and Neil McBride, also dear great-grandfather to Jaxon. Dear brother of Douglas (Shirley) Fillmore, Woodstock; Myrna Knox, Riverview, N.B.; Allan(Donna) Fillmore, Montreal. Brother-in-law of Mary Fillmore, Hamilton, Ont.; Ray (Roberta) Strongman, Sussex, N.B.; Evelyn (Allison) MacNevin, Cascumpec; Vaughn Killen, Penobsquis, N.B.; Fran (Gerry) Lanteigne, St. Paul, N.B. He is also survived by mother-in-law Irene Killen. Predeceased by parents, first wife, Reta (2001), son, Bruce (1978), brother, Cedric, and mother-in-law, Inez Strongman. Resting at the Ferguson Funeral Home, O'Leary, with visiting hours Wednesday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service on Thursday in the chapel at 11 a.m. Reception to follow. Family flowers only. Due to severe allergies, please refrain from wearing scents. Memorials to the Prince County Hospital Foundation (Palliative Care Unit) or Diabetes Association would be appreciated.
