Passed peacefully away on February 20, 2011 at the Salvation Army Glenbrook Lodge, Alice Neary, aged 87 years. Predeceased by her sister Shirley Dobbins and brother Patrick Neary. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories six sisters: Mary Ryan, Cambridge, On., Eleanor Burke, St. John’s, Betty Neary, St. John’s, Diane Bemis (John), Cape Cod, Mass., Daphne Custodio (Jules), Labrador City, Sonia Neary Harvey, St. John’s and brother Thomas, Cambridge, ON, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the Doctors and Staff of the Salvation Army Glenbrook Lodge for their loving care shown to Alice during her stay there. At Alice’s request, cremation has taken place. Visitation will take place at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road on Friday, February 25, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass to take place from Mary Queen of Peace Church, Torbay Road on Saturday, February 26, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in Alice’s memory may be made to the Salvation Army Glenbrook Lodge.
