December 17, 1933 - February 12, 2011

We, the family of the late Rita Luff, would like to extend our sincere gratitude and heartfelt appreciation to all who helped in any way to alleviate the sorrow caused by the passing of our Mother.

We gratefully acknowledge the prayers, phone calls, messages, sympathy cards, flowers, church visits, and the tremendous outpouring of food from family, friends, ACW and WM church groups, and housekeeping staff of Deer Lake Motel.

Thank you to the pallbearers for taking Mom to her final resting place, usher Fred Parsons, Brian Spracklin for directing traffic and preparing the cemetery and to all who attended the service.

Also, thanks to the musicians, Pastor Patey and a long time friend of Mom’s Dorothy Wight. To her granddaughter, Dawn Briere-Paul, for reading the messages, and to her niece, Cathy Manuel, for giving a most beautiful tribute to Mom’s memory.

A special thank you to Pastor Marvin and Lynette Freake for conducting a beautiful service and to Brenda and David Parsons of Parsons Funeral Home, your care was more than professionalism, it was friendship. May God richly bless you all, and hold you in the hollow of His hand.

A very special thank you to my aunt and uncle in Cormack Willis and Violet Luff, for being there and opening their home to us, providing comfort and support during this difficult time. Your kind words consoled us and made us laugh and will not be forgotten.

Thanks to my co-workers at Golden Heights Manor (where Mom was a resident for 20 months) and Bonavista Hospital for Mom’s care, and their thoughtfulness at this sad time. All monetary donations will be given to the Pentecostal Church, Cormack in Mom’s memory, which would have made her very proud. Thanks to each and every one.

Sadly missed and loved, but never forgotten.
