The death occurred peacefully at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Thursday, Feb. 24, 2011, of J. Stanley Newman aged 94 years. Stanley is formerly of New Haven, Dunedin, Cornwall and most recently Whisperwood Villa. He was the beloved husband of Phyllis Newman (nee Easton) and loving father of Dr Lewis (Stella), Delmar (Marcia) and Kevin (Joanne). He is survived by six grandchildren Christopher, Stephen, Christian, Courtney, Paige, Philip and Kimberley. He is also survived by his brother-in-law Arnold Easton (Tena) and numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his sisters Lennie (Harrison) Green, Reta (Leonard) Newson and brother Alton (Florence) Newman. Stanley worked for many years at CFCY TV and CBC TV. Resting at Belvedere Funeral Home. Funeral Monday from the Belvedere Funeral Home chapel at 10:30 a.m. Interment later in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Equipment Fund or the Cornwall United Church Building Fund. Visiting hours on Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
