Genevieve Agnes Mahoney
February 3, 1939 - September 5, 2010
We, the family of the late Genevieve Mahoney would like to express our deepest appreciation for the support given to us during our mother’s illness and passing.
Thank you to all the people who sent food, flowers, cards, mass cards and contributed to the Canadian Cancer Society or to a charity of your choice.
A special thank you to Dr. Coleman, Father Hynes, and the staff of Fillatre’s Funeral Home whose kindness and professionalism helped lesson the pain of our loss.
We are particularly grateful to our mothers card and bingo buddies whose yellow rose send off was beautiful and would have pleased her very much.
To our Aunt Marina and Uncle Jim. The meals, transportation and companionship you provided to our mother will never be forgotten. Thank you for your love and devotion.
Our mother was unique, stubborn, determined, loving and oh so kind. She lived her life on her own terms and was loved by many. She was our hero and we loved her dearly. This is not good bye Mom, but see you later.
Lori, Vicki, Tony, Darren and families.
Do not stand at my grave and weep,
I am not there, I do not sleep.
I am in a thousand winds that blow,
I am the softly falling snow.
I am the gentle flowers of rain,
I am the fields of ripening grain.
I am in the morning hush,
I am in the graceful rush
of beautiful birds in circling flight,
I am the star shine of the night.
I am in the flowers that bloom,
I am in a quiet room.
I am in the birds that sing,
I am in each lovely thing.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there. I did not die.
