It is with great sadness the family of Hilda Theresa Trueman age 80 of Truemanville, Cumberland County announce her passing on Sunday, July 12, 2009 at home.
Born in Amherst, she was a daughter of the late Gordon and Catherine (Drown) Fage.
In her younger years prior to her marriage she worked at the Two Barkers Department Store in Amherst. Hilda was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and will be sadly missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband Russell of 58 years, one daughter Beverley (Stewart) Smith of Truemanville, four sons Bruce (Evelyn) of Warren, Roger (Wendy) of Calgary, Dean (Melissa) and Dana both of Amherst, grandchildren Geoffrey (Karen) and Michael (Angelica) Smith, Mitchell, Patrick and Kelly Trueman, great grandchildren Kayla, Ava, Olivia and Owen Smith and two nieces and one nephew.
Hilda was predeceased by one son Gordon and two brothers Russell and Kenneth.
Her family will receive visitors at Campbell's Funeral Home, 98 Church St., Amherst (667-9906) on Tuesday, July 14, 2009 from 7-9 p.m.
Funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. in Campbell's Chapel with Rev. Steven Longmoore officiating.
Interment will take place in the Truemanville Cemetery.
Donations in Hilda's memory may be made to the Palliative Care Unit of Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre, VON or the Truemanville Cemetery.
