WILSON, Joyce Florence- 86, formerly of Steam Mill, Kings County, passed away Friday, February 18, 2011 in Evergreen Home for Special Care, Kentville. Born in Kentville, she was a daughter of the late George and Bessie (Rafuse) Adams. She was employed with the Scotties Chip Plant and later Hostess Foods for 17 years. She loved to bake and Joyce could be found a lot of the time with her hands in the dough dish, baking pies for family and friends. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She is survived by two daughters, Judy (Lorne) Pudsey, Grande Prairie, Alberta; Wanda LeBlanc, Steam Mill; two sons, Gary (Lola) Wilson, Woodville; Douglas (Deborah) Wilson, North Aldershot Road; son-in-law, Terry LeBlanc, Lakewood Road; a brother, Harlan (Bessie), Evergreen Home for Special Care; several step-brothers and step-sisters; 12 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Robie; two brothers, Shirley and Garnet; several half brothers and sisters; two great grandchildren. There was no visitation, by request. The funeral service, followed by a reception, was held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, February 21, 2011 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, Reverend Gary Manthorne officiating. A private family burial took place in the Elm Grove Cemetery, Steam Mill. Family flowers only, by request. Donations in memory may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia.
