BURNIE, R. Gloria - 57, of Kentville, passed away Sunday, February 20, 2011 after many years of suffering. Born in Annapolis Royal, she was a daughter of Mrs. Phyllis (Longmire) Walker and longtime companion, Duane Wilson, Kentville and the late Arnold Milbury. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her common-law husband and the love of her life, Danny Parks, Kentville; a son, Roger Burnie, Delaps Cove, Annapolis County; two sisters, Linda (Mike) Konesky, Halifax; June Theriault, Kentville; three brothers, Jerry Milbury, Kentville; Billy Milbury, Ontario; Allen (Dorothy) Milbury, Kentville; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her father, she was predeceased by a brother, Henry. Cremation has taken place under the direction of the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville. There was no visitation, by request. A private family funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 24, 2011 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, Reverend John McNally officiating. Burial will take place at a later date in Delaps Cove. Donations in memory may be made to the Colorectal Cancer Association of Canada.
