NEWELL, Julia Frances – 85, Yarmouth, passed away on Monday, February 21, 2011 in Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born February 27, 1925 in Wakefield, Mass., she was a daughter of the late Christopher and Mary Anne (Babine) LeBlanc. Julia had worked with IMO Foods in Yarmouth, and she was an avid bingo player. Surviving are her children, Marjorie (Roger) Quirion, Paradise; Wayne (Coral) LeBlanc, Carol (Robbie) Goodwin and Anthony LeBlanc (Karen Ritchie), all of Yarmouth; 7 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; a sister, Mildred Frost, and a brother, Robert White, both of Yarmouth. Aside from her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Ralph Newell, as well as by sisters, Marjorie, in childhood, Margaret, Celeste, Alice, Theresa; brothers, Amos, George, Leo, Henry. In accordance with the family’s wishes, cremation has taken place, and the family received visitors from 2 to 4 p.m. Thursday at H. M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, 29 Albert Street, Yarmouth.
