The death occurred at the Western Hospital, Alberton on Friday, Feb. 25, 2011 of Rita Shea of Maplewood Manor, Alberton aged 93 years. Beloved wife of the late James Shea. She was born in Waterford, on Sept. 19, 1917, the daughter of the late George and Ella (Shea) McAlduff. Survived by daughter Virginia (Roger) Hutt, South Kildare and daughters-in-law Frances Ann Shea, Pleasant View and Clare Shea, Kildare. Dear grandmother of Ella Hutt, South Kildare, Kim Shea, Kildare, Jodi Shea, Charlottetown, Jennifer Shea, Summerside, Laurie Shea, Huntley, Michael (Patricia) Shea, Pleasant View, Matthew (Melsha) Shea, LeDuc, Alberta and Mary Beth Shea, Pleasant View. She is also survived by brothers Edward (Priscella) McAlduff, Summerside, George (Gen) McAlduff, Waterford and a sisters-in-law Gerarda Corcoran, Piusville and Ada Shea, Windsor, Ont. She was predeceased by her parents George and Ella, sons Philip and Reggie, brother Lester and sister-in-law Catherine McAlduff. As a personal request no visiting hours and a private family funeral mass will be held at a later date. Funeral arrangements are under the care of West Prince Funeral Home.
