Steven Duncan Lawson passed on Tuesday, February 01, 2011 in his 56th year. He passed peacefully in his sleep holding the hand of his wife, Tracey Abramson, which is just the way he wanted it to be.

Steve is survived by his three daughters, Michelle (Zsolt), Cheri (Rick) and Shawna, who spent a week laughing and reconnecting with him before he passed. He was also stepdad to Don (Amber). Grandpa to Addison, Summer, Audrey, Jackson and Lily, with one more on the way. He had a big family too, and was a brother to Ron, Bob, Tim, Pam and Chris Lawson, and son to the late Morris and Etta Lawson.

Although his illness was tragic, he hung on to his sense of humour and teased the nurses daily to keep everyone smiling. We'd like to thank Dr. Scott Montgomery, Dr. Steve Rollheiser and the nurses on 7 North at Royal Inland Hospital for their exemplary care and friendship for Dad.

Anyone who knew Steve knows that he was his own man. He lived life on his own terms, and we're happy to say, he died the same way.

We'll miss you, Dad.
