Constance Connie Willett
Bathurst – Mrs. Constance “Connie” Willett, 83, wife of Claude Willett, of the Foyer Notre Dame de Lourdes and formerly of Murray Ave., Bathurst, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Friday (February 25, 2011) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst. Born in Bathurst, she was the daughter of the late Major Harry & Rita (Wilbur) Willett. There was nothing more important to her then her family. She was devoted to her husband and her best friend "Tidi", who was the love of her life for 61 years. Together they filled their home with love and respect. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Cathedral Catholic Women’s League, Bathurst. Besides her husband, she is survived by: four sons; Harris (Gwen Kelly) of Moncton, George (Alma) of Bathurst, Charles of Saint John, Claude Jr. (Jane Dearing) of Halifax, NS; two daughters; Mary Stephenson (Mark) of Moncton, Anne Blackmore (Robert) of Hampton; 11 grandchildren; Shannon and Andrew Willett, Ian and Alanna Willett, Natalie and Lauren Willett, Kate and Christopher Stephenson, Matthew, Samuel and William Blackmore. She was predeceased by and infant son; Thomas, a brother; Rev. Lineham, and sisters; Helena, Laura and a special aunt; Helen Wilbur.
The Family would like to thank the staff of the Foyer Notre Dame de Lourdes.
The body will rest after 2 p.m. Monday at Elhatton's Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday morning (March 1, 2011) at 11:00 a.m. from the Sacred Heart Cathedral. In memory of Connie, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Alzheimer’s Society or a favorite charity would be appreciated by the family.
