The unexpected death of George Richard Kellow of Belleisle Creek, NB, age 85, occurred at Lower Millstream, NB, on Saturday, February 26, 2011. George was the husband of the late Rhoda (VanWart) Kellow. He was born on February 15, 1926 in Poytzfield, Scotland, the son of the late Walter and Margaret (Fraser) Kellow. George is survived by his daughters Lynn and Fred Vail of Belleisle Creek and Diane Kellow and Jay Kimball of Rothesay; son George and Avis Kellow of Saint John, grandchildren Kelly Vail and Kevin Raymond, Jason Vail and Jackie, George and Amanda Kellow; great grandchildren Tyler and Thomas Raymond-Vail; sister Peggy Barsoski of Arnprior, ON; special friend Nettie Kierstead; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister Rose and brothers Walter and John.
The family will receive visitors at Sherwood’s Funeral Home and Life Tribute Centre (506-839-2156), 18 Scovil Road, Norton, NB, on Thursday, March 3, 2011, from 3 to 8 pm. A private family service will be held at a later date. Donations in memory of George, may be made to Union Cemetery or the memorial of the donor’s choice would be appreciated.
