It is with great sadness that we, the family, announce the sudden peaceful passing of our beloved brother, John Aylward, on July 5, 2009, at his summer home in Montreal.
Born in Sydney Mines, he was the son of the late Albert ‘Baldy’ and May (Peddle) Aylward. Travelling and settling in Montreal at age 17.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Giuseppina ‘Josie’ Pepe, Montreal; brothers, Brian Peddle, Joseph Aylward, both of North Sydney, Derrick Aylward and his wife, Helen of Cambridge, Frank Aylward and his wife, Suzanne Sable of Toronto and one sister, Wanda (Aylward) MacKay and husband, Kevin of Sydney; brother-in-law, Pasquale (Christianne) Pepe, father-in-law, Agostino and late Bambina (Di Re) Pepe, of Montreal; numerous nieces and nephews.
He was deeply loved and will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
Visitation was held at Magnus Poirier Funeral Complex, Montreal on July 8, 2009, services followed with Fr. Williams officiating. Burial took place July 9, 2009, at Notre-Dame-des-Neiges Cemetery.
