It is with great sadness that the family of the late William Pomeroy announce his passing at the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital on Friday February 25th 2011 at the age of 85 years. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife Mary, his two sons; Paul (Eileen) in Brampton Ontario, and Sheldon (Gloria) in Calgary Alberta, his daughter Pamela (Bucky) Noseworthy in Port au Port East, his sister Rose Caul in New Minas NS, seven grandchilden and a large circle of relatives and friends. He was predeceased by two brothers William and Pat and by eight sisters; Stella, Elizabeth, Charlotte, Kitty, Madge, Annie, Rosella and Marcie Campbell. Funeral services will take place on Tuesday March 1st 2011 at 10 am from Maria Regina Parish in Port au Port with interment in the Roman Catholic Cemetery in Port au Port. Friends may call at Maria Regina Parish from 2-4 and 7-9 pm on Monday. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Russell’s Funeral Home 39 Queen Street, Stephenville.
