LORENE “VERNIS” GREGOR (nee OGLE)
April 1, 1932 - February 27, 2011
Vern left the confines of this Earth to be with Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, to join her parents, the late Charles and Gladys Ogle, sister Mavis (Archie) McDonald and brother Lawrence (Elaine) Ogle. Vern is survived by her husband, Slow; daughter, Susan (Dr. Brian Sanderson); son, David (Karri); Susan’s children, Brett, Julie (Rick Struble) and Matthew Bespalko all of Moose Jaw and area; David’s children, Christina and Brock of Bettendorf, Iowa; Julie’s children, Katelynn and William as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Vern “Mum” always went out of her way to say “Hello”. As a Christian and Prayer Warrior she provided her family and all those in need, a kind word and the promise of a prayer in the future. Her life and love of her “home” on the farm planted not just seeds of crops but seeds of Faith. Vern was devoted to the Church; she enjoyed singing, playing her organ, knitting and tatting. For many years Vern enjoyed working for the Army and Navy, and the T. Eaton’s Stores. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, March 2, 2011 at 10:00 am at The First Baptist Church, 1010 Main St. N., Moose Jaw. Pastor Barry Gammie will officiate. Interment will follow at Rosedale Cemetery. A Time of Visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday evening at W. J. Jones & Son Funeral Chapel, 106 Athabasca St. E., Moose Jaw from 7 – 9 pm. For those wishing memorial donations can be made to the charity of one’s choice.
