It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mary Kokocki, which occurred Sunday, July 12, 2009, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Sydney, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Lena (LeMarco) Kokocki.
Mary was employed and enjoyed working with the Cape Care Homemakers.
She is survived by her loving husband, Ken MacNeil; his daughters, Sherri (Chris), Joanie (Arnold ‘Bucky’); grandchildren, Ava, Justin, Jessica, twins, Haley and James; brother, Frank (Mickie); as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brothers, Carmen and Joe.
Visitation will take place Thursday, July 16 at the S.W. Chant & Son Funeral Home, 564 Alexandra St., Sydney from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, July 17 at the funeral home chapel with Pastor Sheldon Chant officiating. Reception to follow. Burial to take place at a later date.
Donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
